We have another mission that was posted by your usual employers, requesting your presence. The mission requests work from another individual as well, so it's likely they will also employ Sparks.

Quote:

DragonierMan,

You have redeemed yourself in my view, which was work well accomplished. But I know that you will be eager to return to servitude of our Shogun, finding your own glory and building his empire. I've arranged a new task for you, if you have the opportunity.

As you may be aware, our actions in the past, namely attempting to occupy large areas of public networks in the name of our Shogun, effectively blacklisted us from advertising with the GNA, at least for the present. That grudge still simmers, although it lessens every day. For now, we face a significant barrier to recruitment because, unlike the NetPolice or the NetMafia, we cannot set up our own kiosk to scout recruits. Traditionally, we've always used personal recommendations instead to grow our pool of officers. Unfortunately, while this does ensure that we only pull the very best and most trustworthy into our organization, it also means that our numbers remain miniscule compared to the major powers.

The GNA is holding a special recruitment fair, however, for underrepresented organizations... As disgraceful as it is, this represents a good opportunity for us to get exposure in a conventional form we can't normally take advantage of. The navis you'll see there represent a willing-to-work group that typically eludes us. On that same note, you may have noticed we have problems recruiting males into our organization. That is why you're the ideal representative for this mission: your presence there will show others that men need not shy away from becoming subordinates in our organization. You have your own share of success stories now that will make you a convincing advocate. But, besides that, I would appreciate it if you would bring another male friend, if you have one. Two men will be far more convincing than one, even if your friend isn't a part of our forces. Lee and Vee will also be there, performing in the same capacity you are.

Besides recruitment, we have another goal as well... The organizations you will see advertising at the meeting are those with similar status to ourselves: fringe groups still in desperate need of a membership boost. One could easily call them our direct competitors. We will be well served to deter any who might join them and instead bring those into our own fold. Vee and Lee, as generals, will report to me any instances in which you manage to convert parties interested in those groups to our cause. There will be a significant bonus awarded to you and your companion for any such instances.

So, in review, the mission objectives:
1) Rendezvous with Lee and Vee
2) Attract potential recruits and attempt to boost membership
3) Intercept membership gains by any other parties, as the situation allows

Thank you for your hard work.

-First General Yasu, the Sky-Severing Legendary Ronin and Natural Blademaster

The client has confirmed 200 bugfrags as base payment, with potential bonuses for fulfilling extra requirements. Sparks will need to address the matter of his own reward request, as well. Please let us know if you're interested.

DragonierMan,

It's good that you've reported in. An SP core fit to tether a third SP to a navi will be difficult to come by, but an appropriate reward for a mission as dangerous as this one. Faction points will be included as well, based on merit.

We've been hearing reports from the GNA that some of the missions being accepted via the board, claiming to be hosted by our organization, are ending in missing reports. Some even have the signatures of our General and Subordinate ranked members attached. The navis who have accepted these missions have never reported in; this is straining our relationship with the GNA. It seems to me impossible that anyone could fool the GNA so completely when it comes to faking our identities, but we have a duty to resolve this.

As I said before, this is a risky mission; we don't know what is happening to the navis who are disappearing. That said, recognizing the urgency, our Shogun believes it would be best if Escort and Arch joined you in this mission. We've isolated a new phony mission that was placed, supposedly by me, and have asked the GNA to discretely freeze any applications for it. I'd like for you or one of your SPs to apply for this mission while in disguise... hopefully you have one. If not, a false name and a cross might do; you'll only need to be unfamiliar when you report to the mission coordinates. I theorize that the perpetrator may deny you entry if they believe you to be a threat: that is, on of our officers. You will report there alone to start, in disguise, and then Arch and Escort will teleport in to join you once you're in.

For reference, below is the mission request:

Phony Mission Request

Greetings,

The Showbizz Women's Charity Martial Arts Bikini Battle is scheduled to take place in Yumland Net. We must show our power by dominating the competition in this battle. You will join Subordinate Escort and Subordinate DragonierMan in dominating the competition. Things are not as they appear. Act carefully. Keep your focus on the mission. There is a danger that Right of Operation Templar or the Alexis or the Blessers are planning to attack during the tournament. If you sense any danger, act carefully and cooperate with Escort and DragonierMan to contain the situation.

Succeed and you will earn faction recruitment and a uniform and a special title. We're counting on you, so act carefully. Glory to our leader! Also, report alone.

-First General Yasu, the Sky-Severing Legendary Ronin and Natural Blademaster

If you are willing to take on my request, please respond in the affirmative and also give me the disguise name you'd prefer to use. I'll provide you the coordinates and tell the GNA to give the mission over to you.

Funnily enough, we have just the disguise, courtesy of MachMan. And due to it being a Women's Charity Martial Arts Bikini Battle, we should use the one given to Suzume and Aya.

Mad Creation

With these .GMOs active, both Aya and Suzume look very similar with a few slight differences to tell them apart. Their attire consists almost entirely of white medical gowns and bandaging tape, both stained and burnt to a slightly lower degree than DragonierMan's clothing. The gowns fit loosely and certainly don't provide the protection their normal armor provides, but thankfully they wrap entirely around their bodies (as opposed to having open backs). They have very short sleeves and the gown only extends just above their knees, but wrapped tape on their thighs and upper arms suggest there's an additional layer of material beneath the gown.

Their skin is lined with dark stitches and medical staples, outlining various limbs and variable-sized patches of skin, each with slightly different hues as if they were assembled from a myriad of different bodies. Even their eyes are different colors, Aya has one red and one hazel eye, while Suzume has one blue and one purple eye. Their golden hair looks mostly uniform, but Aya has a long diagonal line of stitches across her face from the left side to her chin up to the right side of her forehead, so the eyebrow over her crimson eye is black instead of gold.

Suzume has a pair of tarnished silver bolts with oversized hex heads screwed through her medical gown and into the midpoints of her collarbones, while Aya has a pair of identical bolts screwed diagonally into the sides of her shoulders. Said bolts are firmly secured, incapable of spinning or rocking; that's probably a good thing for Aya and Suzume's sakes.

Suzume seems to be the most likely candidate for a showy battle competition. She will be disguised under the name Mullonde.EXE.

DragonierMan,

Very good. Have Suzume, or "Mullonde," rather, report to the coordinates attached. Arch and Escort are on standby to teleport in at your command, you can reach them by message as you would normally. I'd recommend you take in any details that must be done covertly before calling them in. Though, if my suspicions are correct, this 'bikini battle' is simply a trap. Don't get your hopes up.

Find out what is happening to the candidates, who is behind these false mission postings, and if possible, rescue the candidates. Do that and I'll arrange that SP base you wanted.

Please see below communication from your employer.

Yasu

DragonierMan-

My thanks to Suzume. Having viewed the footage, I'm pleased to see that she was competent and capable when faced with this perplexing scenario. I also received a sudden flood of messages from Aya, yourself, and Escort, which I assume are the messages Utopia had been redirecting. Most of all, it is a welcome relief to know that the deluge of fake missions will stop coming in.

I also understand that Escort will be testing a new recruit. Hopefully, we will have good news on that front as well. Please accept the attached reward with my thanks, with a small addition as a "scouting bonus".

Greetings-

We have sent your request to the Neo-Shogun Empire. They sent back the following request. Please reply confirming your acceptance and we will provide coordinates, or your denial, in which case we will provide another mission opportunity.

Quote:

DragonierMan,

Subordinate Survey has completed her analysis of the data brought back from the Alaki Reservoir. It turns out that ReservoirMan may have been playing two games there... you discovered his work for the pirate boss, Power, but we've uncovered a surprising hidden motive for his presence within the data. He was keeping notes on some sort of vessel, or "UFO" that had crash-landed there. From what we understand, an intelligent creature, most likely a navi, inside the vessel had denied him access on his several attempts to enter it and repelled what attempts he made to crack it open.

In an effort to investigate it ourselves, we had Kama lift the ship out of the water and onto dry land. To our surprise, the being inside the ship agreed to our requests for a meeting. I believe it best we send a team in to meet her and learn more. Due to the unknown nature of this navi, we should be prepared for anything... I've decided to send you in there as muscle and Dee along with you, to use her trickery if escape or subterfuge becomes necessary. I'll send Survey with you as well, for her technical knowledge. She's volunteered for this mission and it sounds like she'll be useful here.

The voice inside the UFO has identified itself as "SpaceAge". We really know nothing else about her as of yet, but if ReservoirMan was that interested in her ship, it may be worth our recruiting her or seeing if she has resources useful to the empire. I'm willing to provide the chips you've requested, for completing the following goals:

1) Make contact with SpaceAge and maintain a working relationship, if possible. Recruitment into the Empire would be considered a bonus.
2) Find out if she has useful technology and if so, see if she'd be willing to donate to our cause or perhaps accept a trade of some kind.

Feel free to contact me throughout the mission, should you need my input.
